Summer has hit and that means a few weeks off of school for a girlies...and also peak workout time at the gym which leads to overcrowding with sweaty, muscly men. Yikes!No matter, the girls press on and even meet Ayaka there who..apparently is going to teach a boxing class at Silverman Gym. That makes sense to let a teen girl teach in a gym. Yep. Checks out in my books. There's always some new moves to learn that make for top tier, thorough workouts no matter if it's leg day, arm day, back day..or any type of day. Let's learn some good stuff while some silly shenanigans goes down.

Women of any age are subjected to body insecurities. We just can't escape it to be honest..and in this anime it's like we're back in the 90s with those body judgements from other people. Hibiki and Akemi's teacher is not immune and so she finds herself also at the gym and..apparently it's really embarrassing to possibly be spotted by students there too. WELL I guess Miss Tachibana is gonna have a lot of explaining to do in between reps and Machio training. Will she actually die from being found out by her students or is she just being a drama queen?!

Ya know how when you're on a health kick you exercise once, eat a broccoli for dinner, and then check on your progress the next morning and find out nothing has changed?! Yeah, Hibiki is doing that, leading her into a bit of a spiral, but with the help of Machio and Akemi, we all learn the way to balance out your food intake versus your workout session at the gym. We also get some good workout advice and a good swimming pool cut scene because why not? The weather is warming up after all, so gear up and find out ways to improve your workouts (and eat your protein)!

New Anime alert! Well- new to us anyways. We're diving into working out. Yes, that's right, a whole ass anime about working out. Somehow Japan really knows how to make boring or strenuous things pleasant and entertaining. Anyways, enter Hibiki Sakura, our main character of this story. She's a high school student that has put on some 'weight' and freaks out about it and decides to make a change. Going to the gym. NOT JUST ANY GYM THOUGH. Silverman's gym where she runs into a fellow classmate, Akemi..who is more than in love with muscles..she's obsessed. With the direction from personal trainer, Machio -who is really weird on his own- the girls learn the best workouts for their goals!

Inuyasha Ep 27 - The Lake of the Evil Water God

The gang moves on, stumbling upon a village that loves to send their kids to the sacrificial altar of a water god to save their village...which is weird since you're just...sacrificing your village slowly starting with the children. Not everyone is born the brightest color in the crayon box. ANYWAYS the Shikon Searchers decide to get involved to stop all this nonsense which was a good idea cause -shocking- the water god is not what he seems to be. Sango also reluctantly decides to be a plus one on this adventure since Naraku is just making enemies left and right who want to seek revenge on him...who also tend to find each other. Such groupies.

Inuyash Ep 26 - The Secret of the Jewel of Four Souls Revealed

Sango is recovering as the gang starts wandering towards a protected cave. Inside said cave is where it all began, the origins of the Shikon Jewel. Before them is a priestess warrior frozen in time with that of her demon enemies making it a mausoleum of sorts that dog boy and friends decide to stand around in and talk about the past like it's some sort of watercooler break at work. Like, c'mon guys, have a little respect for the dead. The past plays out for them and we get some much-needed insights as well as a touching moment that make me cry errytime.

Inuyasha Ep 25 - Naraku's Insidious Plot

Nothing like a half-dead girl to fight your battles for you, amirite, Naraku? Yeah, that's what the big ol' baddy aims to do. Poor Sango gets tricked into using a shikon jewel to fight Inuyasha after believing Naraku that he was the one to destroy her village leaving her orphaned and alone. In the fray of battle, Sango runs on pure revenge and stubbornness, not minding the wounds she has previously received..that is, until Kagome uses her mouth to say words other than Inuyasha's name which convinces Sango that Naraku is the one to blame for everything. Is it too late, however? Idk..those were some pretty serious wounds.

Y'all ever wondered what it's like to live in a small town of highly trained assassins for hire? Well, look no further than this episode! Sango, a very talented and strong demon slayer is on a mission with her father, the leader of fierce warriors, as well as her little brother Kohaku..who seems to not have the same desire for the family business as his father. Trouble happens as they are away from home which leads to a mass slaughtering which Inuyasha and the gang stumble on. Angry, Sango blames them for the huge turn of events and tries to fight them despite some hardcore injuries she had. What will the group do? Destroy the last living demon slayer or try to talk it out?

The tripod standoff we never needed but here we are. Kagome faces off against Kikyo with..words. No, no catfight happens but Kagome really does try to tell Kikyo that what happened 50 years ago wasn't what she thought. Unfortunately Kagome is not a professional convincer and Kikyo is still determined to get revenge on her former lover. Inuyasha who is very dumb does fall for it and Kagome is held an invisible prisoner, thus only able to watch helplessly as the two..make out and stuff? Idk, it's pretty wild even though the whole episode concentrates on just this scene.

Miroku and Kaede discuss the body deformities of their common enemy, proving that Naraku is the demon that was birthed from Onigumo's obsession, love, and hatred for Kikyo. Boy, therapy probably would have worked wonders for him but that wasn't a thing back then. Speaking of the priestess, the newly living dead girl, Kikyo has settled into a small village becoming a priestess yet again for the people living there. Even going so far as having the little kids help her pick some herbs for medicinal purposes and teach them what they’re good for. Kinda sweet really. Well, a monk has caught on that Kikyo is in fact not living at all and uses the souls of the dead to sustain her. Him and his young apprentices try to make her pass over aaaand instead, they get a real fight for their lives. Maybe Kikyo just isn’t her old self anymore. I guess dying really crazy-like will do that to people...doll...ghost things.
