Ep. 1 - Starting Today, You are a Host!

Welcome to Baka Bitches! We are two 30-somethings who REALLY love to talk about anime while we drink and hang out. We’ll share our opinions, both popular and not, while examining each episode of an anime series. Feel free to watch along with us each week as we dissect the classics and even some new anime titles. There will be laughs, there will be chaos, and probably some offensive language and sensitive topics so listener discretion is advised!

This is the first episode of Ouran High School Host Club where we are introduced to our beloved main characters at this very rich academy where students simply have too much time on their hands. Clearly we do too because we're here to talk about those characters and whatever is actually happening with this anime. With a critical eye and a few drinks we'll guide you on this charming, funny, and slightly concerning anime journey about high school kids running a host club. Enjoy!

I’m loving your podcast about this anime, it’s one of my favorites (as a 28 yo so definitely not alone in that) and hearing your thoughts about it is so interesting. I wanted to comment on the twins with a little fun manga fact. Their host relationship is definitely weird but the manga reveals it was TAMAKI’s idea to have a brotherly love act! So we have him to blame 🙊.
